🍂 Autumn is culture season in Helsingborg 🍂 As the evenings get darker, Helsingborg’s concert halls, stages and galleries light up with a new season of music, theatre and art. 🎶 At Helsingborg Concert Hall, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra has opened its 2026/27 season. This autumn brings everything from classical masterpieces and internationally acclaimed soloists to Nordic after-work concerts and unexpected musical encounters. 🎭 At Helsingborg City Theatre, the autumn season is already in full swing. Step into the world of Billy Elliot, the much-loved musical with music by Elton John, or discover the intriguing story of Jane Horney’s Last Hours on the intimate Lillan stage. 🎨 At Dunkers Kulturhus, there’s always something new to discover. Coming up in October are Kateryna Lysovenko’s Allt är möjligt and Tyst! Jag ser på tv. – a nostalgic journey through Swedish television memories. 🍁🍷 "People come here the way they'd come to their own living room. A boy who knocked on the bakery door at five, asking for cinnamon buns, had his graduation party here in June." says Anna Borgskog at Château Forêt Warm room, low light, three people running the whole thing. Château Forêt sits on Södra Storgatan, and the menu is short and changes with what's available: European cooking that starts with Skåne's own growers and farmers. Vegetables carry the plates, and when there's meat, the whole animal gets used. Dinner Tuesday to Friday, plus Saturdays that turn into something of their own: asparagus dinners, national day lunch, Oktoberfest. What began as a sourdough bakery and café in 2008, opened by three brothers. In 2013 they kept the lights on into the evening, and it became a restaurant. Look up while you eat! The walls hold 1930s murals by Helsingborg artist Hugo Gehlin, painted when this was one of the city's Helma beer halls, opened in 1930. "Merchants of every kind find great pleasure here." They're being restored right now with help from a crowdfunding. Long shadows, warm evening air, and architecture that can be read as a timeline. ☀️ ⚓ Norra Hamnen From above you see it clearly: the wooden boardwalk, the boats lined up, the terraces filling as the sun drops. This is the city's late-summer living room – walk the quay and let the evening take as long as it wants. 🪵 Springpostgränden Narrow, crooked, full of stories. Home to the city's first telegraph office, and still charmingly photogenic. Look up at the bay window – then stop by @telegrafenhelsingborg on the corner. 🍻 🏛️ Drottninggatan 57 Early 1900s with Jugend in the details. Tall windows, ornament where you least expect it, and the air of a building that's been watching city life for a century. 🏰 Kärnan Start at the bottom of the terrace stairs and let the tower reveal itself step by step. Brick, blunt, older than almost everything around it. The climb is a workout, the view is the reward. 🇸🇪 🎨 Dunkers Kulturhus Kim Utzon's sculptural landmark opened in 2002, facing the sea. @dunkerskultur is the modern heart of the city – and the lookout on top is the best seat in town for sunsets and ferry-watching. ⛴️ 🏡 Norra Storgatan 9 (Gamlegård) One of the oldest half-timbered houses left in town, from the 1700s.
