🎶 “Music is always the driving force.” 🎵🎸🥁For years, the former fire station at Gåsebäck was abandoned and quiet. Today, it pulses with sound, people and creative energy. At the heart of Vagnhallar 16 is music – shaping the space, the events and the atmosphere. When Mike joined Vagnhallar 16 in 2023 as operative manager, the venue had just opened. Since then, music has become the clear backbone of the place, guiding its development into a year-round destination for concerts, festivals, street food and creative gatherings. With the power of word of mouth, a Danish investor and a growing creative ambition, Vagnhallar 16 found its rhythm. Music quickly became the driving force, with Helltown, the metal festival, emerging as a defining attraction and setting the tone for the venue’s identity, combined with a lively foodcourt. Today, Vagnhallar 16 hosts a year-round program of concerts, dance sessions, club nights, festivals and creative events, featuring both established artists and new voices. This summer, Helltown returns in July as an open-space metal festival, followed by the creative art festival Rymdblomman in August. A new indoor music stage is also in the works, further expanding the live music offering. As operational manager, Mike oversees daily operations and events year-round, shaping a creative universe where music, food courts and cultural gatherings meet – designed to work seamlessly indoors and outdoors, day and night. When asked what kind of music Helsingborg would be if it were a song or a genre, Mike pauses before answering with certainty: “Country, for sure. This is a place where you can be yourself – and let the music lead the way.” With an expanding events calendar and a new stage on the horizon, Vagnhallar 16 continues to grow, firmly establishing itself as one of Helsingborg’s key cultural hubs.
