🏺 Step into over 160 years of craftsmanship at Wallåkra Stenkärlsfabrik. ✨Tucked into the green valley of the Råå river, this historic factory has been producing classic stoneware since 1864. Here, local clay is still shaped by hand on the potter’s wheel and fired in the large coal-heated kiln, creating the characteristic brown-glazed pots and jugs. Visitors can follow the entire journey – from raw clay to finished stoneware – and even try pottery themselves in a workshop. A few times a year the great kiln is fired in a traditional stoneware burning, a rare event that’s truly something to experience. In the old warehouse building you’ll also find Krogen, serving seasonal food in a beautiful historic setting.
