🍷 What a week for Swedish wine! 🇸🇪 Yesterday, the global final of the Star Wine List Awards was hosted in Terra Skåne, bringing together 150 wine experts from some of the world's most renowned restaurants. With representatives from 28 countries, our region was truly in the international spotlight. We’re incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to showcase what Swedish vineyards have to offer. Terra Skåne is proving that the new world of wine can be found right here in the old world. ✨ The programme included masterclasses, wine tastings and, of course, a taste of Sweden’s most beloved tradition – Midsummer. Guests got to experience flower crown making, dancing around the maypole and classic Swedish Midsummer games. 🌼💃 Yesterday was spent at Kullabergs Vingård and Arilds Vingård. Today, participants are heading out on different tours to discover more of Terra Skåne’s vineyards. 189 steps to one of Sweden's most beautiful views 🏰 Every day people climb the Terrace Stairs up towards the fortress tower Kärnan and it is also here the newly graduated students tumbles down each year after exams. Few stop to think that this staircase was once just a bold idea. Back in the late 1800s, the way up to Helsingborg's most iconic lookout was steep and awkward. As the city grew, someone asked a simple question: what if the walk up could be an experience in itself? The answer became the Terrace Stairs. King Oscar II inaugurated them in 1903, just in time for that summer's big Industry and Handicraft Exhibition in Slottshagen. Suddenly there was a new path between Stortorget and the tower, but also a new place to meet, pause, and take in the view. More than a century later, the reward at the top is exactly the same: one of the most beautiful views in Sweden, out over the Öresund all the way to Denmark. ✨ 📍 Terrasstrapporna, Helsingborg P.S.
