In northwestern Skåne, the Söderåsen National Park spreads out with magnificent beech trees. Söderåsen, which is a popular excursion destination, extends over 4 municipalities: Bjuv, Klippan, Svalöv and Åstorp. Skåneledens Ås to Åsled follows Söderåsen’s ravines and valleys all the way from Åstorp to Röstånga, which is a 40 km hiking trail.
The national park has an information center and nature center in Skäralid where you can find several shorter loops around a ravine. There is also Prince Oskar’s nature playground which is very popular for children. Another entrance to the national park is in Röstånga. Around Skärdammen there is also a ramp adapted for the disabled at 800 meters. Skåne’s highest point, 212 meters above sea level, is in Magleröd. From Helsingborg to Skäralid it is only 45 km.
