Helsingborg has a nice picturesque old town center that offers a large selection of both shopping, restaurants and cafes. The old town dates back to the Middle Ages and is filled with small cozy streets and alleys to discover. On Bruksgatan with its unique atmosphere are odd shops side by side with small cafes and trendy bars. At Mariatorget you will find a multitude of cozy outdoor cafes in a fantastic environment around the beautiful St. Mary’s Church. Sit down under the greenery of the trees and enjoy a good dinner.

Kullagatan, which opens onto Stortorget, is Sweden’s oldest pedestrian street. For the shopping enthusiast, there is everything from local shops to large fashion chains. And if you want to relax for a while, it is always close to a café. On Stortorget you will also find the Terrace Stairs that lead you up to the park Slottshagen where the medieval watchtower Kärnan is located. Take the stairs to the top, or just enjoy the view from the park where you can look over to our neighbors in Denmark.
Söder (south part of city) is the opposite of Kullagatan’s traditional shopping and offers alternative, odd and trendy shops. At the market on Gustav Adolf’s square you will find fruit and vegetables, colorful flowers and fresh spices and herbs. Here is also Helsingborg’s newest mall SöDER, with a focus on experiences, food, drink and entertainment. A perfect place to relax, eat well and spend time with family and friends!
Drottninggatan is Helsingborg’s proud parade street. The major cultural attractions, such as Dunkers Kulturhus (culture house), Konserthuset (concert hall) and Stadsteatern (theater) are located here, but also several antique shops and galleries, as well as restaurants and nice bars.
