Kallis, the cold bath house on Gröningen, dates back to 1865, but the current form was designed by the architect Jeppe Hagaard Andersen in 2012. From the beginning, the bath was called “The new cold bath house” and was located on pillars out in the sea, just like Pålsjöbaden. This made the bathhouse vulnerable to storms and ice formation and already in 1868 the bathhouse was destroyed in a February storm. Luckily it could be rebuilt! To be destroyed again in 1885… There have been many trips around the demolition and construction of Kallis even after that – but now it is stable where it is!
At Kallis, there is a men’s department and a women’s department, as well as a family sauna at certain times.
